Dick Van Motman is the Global CEO of Dentsu Brand Agencies and in 2019 was appointed to the Executive team as Global CEO, Creative, for Dentsu Aegis Network.
Born in the Netherlands, his international career has spanned postings in Korea, Japan, Indonesia, China, Hong Kong and twice Singapore.
Dick has worked for three leading firms in the advertising and media industry – 12 years as a partner at D’Arcy, Masius Benton & Bowles (acquired by Publicis in 2002), 9-years at DDB Worldwide and for the last 6 years at Dentsu.
In October 2012 he became the first non-Japanese to head up Dentsu Asia where he managed the integration with Aegis following the acquisition by Dentsu in 2013. He then led the combined Dentsu Aegis Network in South-east Asia as CEO and Chairman, more than doubling its size in terms of revenue and tripling profit over 4 years through an aggressive transformation and extensive M&A strategy - becoming the 2nd largest industry group in the region. In January 2018 Dick was appointed Global President of Dentsu Brand Agencies.
